Email addresses

Alien Connections stores a database of email addresses over users that have actively requested to be notified about news, updates and upgrades regarding Alien Connections products. This is usually referred to as the "Alien Connections mail list" or "Alien Connections newsletter email list". The addresses in this list is considered confidential and will under no circumstances be shared with anyone else, not even affiliates of Alien Connections.

Cookies

Alien Connections presently do not collect cookies over users browsing this site. It is possible that we may decide to do so in the future. In any such case, those cookies will be local to this site only and not cross-referenced with other sites. The cookies would not try to identify a person, but only collect anonymous statistics.

Web-server statistics

Alien Connections uses the Apache web-server. The normal operation of any web-server is to log which pages on the site is visited, and how many times. The browser (Netscape, Internet Explorer, Mozilla etc...) usually tell the web-server which was the last page the user visited. This could be a page not present on this site (for example www.google.com , www.altavista.com etc...)

The source code of the Apache web server is "open source" and if in doubt, you the visitor, are encouraged to investigate this program to ensure you can trust it. (The Apache web-server is used by more than 60% of the world web sites.)

The "phpBB" web-based user forum

The source code for the user forum can be found at phpBB: www.phpBB.com and the source code is freely available. Any email addresses collected by the program will be used by the program only. It will not be cross-referenced with any other system.

We do not take responsibility for the posts on this forum made by the visitors. This includes textual contents and uploaded attachments.

Music clips on this site

All music, video and image clips available on this site are copyright protected. The owner of the copyright is clearly stated beside the clip, or if it is not stated belonging to Alien Connections. You may link to clips on this site, if and only if, you clearly state who the copyright belongs to. Spreading clips by downloading them is prohibited without the written consent of the copyright holder.

Correspondence with Alien Connections

All correspondence with Alien Connections (email, regular mail, telephone etc...) is considered confidential.

We reserve the right to quote some information to 3:rd party if 3:rd party is involved in a software compatibility problem. (For example: User tells us that an Alien Connections product does not work well with company Y's product. We will contact company Y and tell them of your problem.)
